MONNYBROOK is the Breeder Prefix we have registered with Dogs Australia through our State membership with Dogs Queensland.We are located in a leafy western suburb of Brisbane in QLD.
We focus on purposeful breeding of planned litters. Choosing mates that are registered on the Main register at Dogs Australia as this proves that they are both purebred Labradors Retrievers. Also we ensure that the breeding pair have proven to be genetically and physically sound according to the results of health screening performed on each dog before mating.The temperament of both the Dam and Sire are extremely relevant to us and chosen with care, as most people would not intentionally want to acquire a dog with an unpredictable nature.
After whelping, we raise the puppies from these healthy mates inside our family home, gradually introducing them to new sensory experiences as they grow and develop over their time with us.
Visiting and handling of the puppies from outside our immediate family is not permitted until the pups immunity matures enough to handle potential attacks from outside their immediate environment, this is likely to be around 6 weeks of age.To compensate we utilise our Facebook page,Instagram or FaceTime to enable you to watch the puppies during their time with us.
Following a health assessment from our Veterinarian and the administration of a microchip and C3 vaccination the puppies will be ready to join their new families at approximately 8 weeks of age.Worming treatment will also have been given according to the manufacturers protocol from when the puppies reached 2 weeks old.
Once DNA swabs have been tested and Parentage has been confirmed for each puppy we are then able to register the litter with Dogs Australia. This enables you to receive a pedigree certificate from Dogs Australia for your puppy, which is like a persons birth certificate, proving it is a direct descendent from the purebred DAM and SIRE of that particular litter.
Purchasing a pedigree dog bred by a Dogs Australia registered breeder increases your chance of owning a well-bred purebred dog that is sound in mind, body and health as far as is possible.
Therefore, It is in your best interest that we encourage you to verify our membership with Dogs QLD. We make this suggestion to help reduce the risk of purchasing from a non-registered breeder who may fraudulently advertise litters for sale using the prefixes of Dogs QLD registered breeders....... Yes there are such scammers out there .......
Documentation associated with the legal breeding and selling of puppies, the bloodlines and health of the parents of the Litter, such as their pedigree papers, hip and elbow scores, along with genetic clearances for Labrador specific diseases can all be provided or viewed in person from us.

Puppies from our FEBRUARY 2024 LITTER have gone on to enjoy new adventures in their forever loving homes. THANK YOU to all of those special people who have welcomed one even two of our Fur - babies into their lives - we are grateful to you for opening your hearts to our puppies.
We also kept one of those beautiful puppies for ourselves as it was so hard to resist the velvety dark chocolate wrinkles and soulful eyes that captured our hearts ! Who knows what the future holds for the little man .... not even we do at this stage...........one thing for sure is that he is already a very much loved member of our family.
