OUR GIRLS
MAKARA and ADRI are our current female chocolate Labradors, previously we shared TREBLE and WREXI before they became our over the Rainbow girls.
TREBLE was our Yellow Labrador who became quite matronly during her 13 years of life, always the party girl. WREXI was our Black Labrador who was named after the car that we didn't buy because it was not big enough to carry all of our human, canine and feathered family. She was 15 and a 1/2 before taking the Rainbow walk, not bad considering a cancer diagnosis when she was only 6 months old.
OUR BOY
ARI is the son of ADRI and CADDY (Lubberline Cadbury) born in early February 2024 which was ADRI's maiden litter.We are looking forward to working with him to develop his manners and keen to watch his development and personality grow. Watch this space .........
MAKARA
Her name in the Indian Sanskrit language means half land and half water creature, a typical Labrador trait. Sadly she was diagnosed early in her life with OSTEOCHONDRITIS DISSECANS so with great disappointment she was withdrawn from breeding and instead became the Matron, overseeing all that goes on at MONNYBROOK LABRADORS
ADRI - (NUGGY)
ADRI's pedigree name is MANARK BROWN VELVET although she is also known as NUGGY as she's our beautiful little chocolate nugget. Luckily she has good hip and elbow clearances and a sound genetic profile clear of all Labrador diseases
Nuggy has such as sweet temperament and is a delight to be around as she lovingly checks in on everybody including her feathered family friends.
She adores water and is often beside me in the surf showing off her strong swimming and lifesaving abilities, she also enjoys retrieving objects and sniffing out treats.
Her call name 'ADRI' was chosen in memory of the Matriarch of Monnybrook Farm - Dog Boarding, Cattery and Horse Livery Services, Sheffield,UK.
ARI
In Hindu means BRAVE LION which we believe resembles the leader of the pack.Along with his Pedigree name being Monnybrook MIGHTY REIGN, we are looking forward to many years ahead with ARI leading his pack family (us included) onwards to joyful new adventures in the future.
He is so cute !
