We are Registered Breeders with DOGS AUSTRALIA and Members of DOGS QUEENSLAND who are located in the Western Suburbs of Brisbane, QLD.

 

Our focus is producing healthy, sound puppies that meet the Labrador Retriever Breed Standard. 

Which is the reason we breed new generations from purebred parents who have had their hips and elbows scored, and who also have been health tested and found clear of Labrador specific genetic diseases.

Puppies from our litters will only go to live in the homes of other "Lovers of the Labrador Breed", as we know those puppies will be cherished as companions for years ahead. For this reason we request that you complete our Expression of Interest - ENQUIRY FORM to start the screening process.

You may be interested to know the origin of our prefix MONNYBROOK - meaning many brooks. Well, it comes from Sheffield in England where I grew up and worked on the family farm which unsurprisingly was called Monnybrook Farm Dog Boarding, Cattery and Horse Livery. This business was established by Pauline Welch, my mother, after she had spent her youth working for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals  (RSPCA) in Sheffield, and at the Home for Retired Horses in Liverpool.

"The Farm" was located at the bottom of Blackamoor which is part of the rural surroundings of the Yorkshire Moors on the border of Sheffield with Derbyshire. So along with our livestock we relished in fresh air and the wide open spaces of the gorgeous English countryside and now we reside on the opposite side of the world in the warmer climate of Queensland, Australia.
