We live with our dogs and puppies in a Worker's Cottage in the Western Suburbs of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, although our dog breeder prefix MONNYBROOK originated in England, UK. This is because my family purchased old farm buildings in the UK and named them MONNYBROOK, where we have had a Dog boarding, cattery, and horse livestock business for over 20 years. Now, the prefix MONNYBROOK has come with us to Australia.

In our breeding program, we ensure that every dog is provided with a safe and caring environment. Our breeding practices are guided by legislation such as the Animal Care and Protection Regulation (2023) and the QLD Animal Welfare Code of Practice for Breeding Dogs.

We are against unethical puppy farms, unnecessary euthanasia, and puppy scams. We also warn others to be wary.

We aim to maintain the standards outlined in the Labrador Retriever Breed Standard (2018) and prevent the breed from being diluted by hybrid designer dogs. We began breeding Labradors because we love the breed and want to share our passion with fellow enthusiasts who appreciate their companionship and intelligence.

We breed new generations of Labradors from purebred parents who have undergone hip and elbow scoring and health testing to reduce the probability of Labrador-specific genetic diseases. This process enables predictability regarding the size, coat, care requirements, and temperament of our selected Labradors.

Bringing a puppy into your life is a big decision and commitment, especially if the dog's lifetime is 15 years or more. That's why we encourage you to make a well-informed decision: when you bring a puppy into your life, your puppy will leave pawprints on your heart - they will love you as much as you do them.
